To me being active means being physically
active; pickleball, tennis, visiting Devils Tower and Fort Bridger,
walking or any activity that causes shortness of breath.
My view is to narrow. One
activity I believe I should start, is playing chess down at the
local coffee shop every Saturday.
It is not physical but would get me out of the house, improve
my mind and is a social activity which I need more of.
Having lunch with others, going to a park with the
grandchildren, or being active at the local senior center all
improve our overall health and well being.
Physical and social activities are equally important to our
health and well-being.
A few days ago I went to a movie with my
daughter and grandchildren.
It was social and fun and I hope will bring fond memories in
the future. But for me
it was also physical
